What is a gaited mule? According to the American Gaited Mule Association, a gaited mule is any mule that has a smooth gait other than a walk, and one which is distinct from a trot. Some gaits are; single-foot, fox-trot, rack, running walk, stepping pace, paso fino, and other smooth gaits, whatever you might call them.

Whatever the gait may be called, its primary virtue is smoothness. The gaited mule (or horse, for that matter) can be ridden farther without discomfort from the bouncing one experiences at a trot, and at a more manageable pace than a canter. A gaited mule is great for trail riding, for obvious reasons.

Our brood mares are almost all Tennessee walking mares, which are double papered, registered walking horses and racking horses. We have found a lot of success throwing color when breeding Mr. Impressive with spotted walking horses. Mr. Impressive has a very even temperment and allows the mare to pass through her dominant characteristics and features.
Mr. Impressive leaves his disposition with the mules and allows the mares to leave an imprint of a nice size head, legs and body off the mare. We have some of the most consistent and better looking mules in the market.

We have also added fox trotters and saddle bred and also paso fino mares. All have thrown great mules out of Mr. Impressive.
